Fire & Flood Restoration Senior Technician

Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments of properties affected by fire, water, mold, or disasters to determine damage scope, liaising with Policy Holders and Loss Adjusters. Document findings using moisture meters, thermal imaging, and borescope cameras while installing drying equipment, then estimate restoration costs for submission to offices or insurers. Collaborate with technicians, electricians, and plumbers to develop detailed restoration plans, appointing junior staff for strip-out and cleaning tasks while monitoring their performance. Ensure all work complies with IICRC, BDMA, Pas64, and S500 regulations, assessing risks to protect workers and occupants. Communicate progress, findings, and timelines to property owners and adjusters, addressing technical queries. Oversee project execution from start to finish, coordinating subcontractors, scheduling activities, and managing budgets to ensure on-time, on-budget completion.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years experience in Fire & Flood Restoration as a Senior Technician - Surveyor
- Certification or training in fire and flood restoration from BDMA or IICRC
- Strong knowledge of building construction, materials, and systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to accurately assess and document damage
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong computer skills & Microsoft office Word & Excel as a minimum
