Job Summary
Inspect and maintain fire extinguishers by conducting routine checks for wear, damage, or tampering, ensuring proper labeling, accessibility, and code compliance. Perform scheduled maintenance including replacing seals, gauges, and components, recharge extinguishers to correct pressure levels, and diagnose repairs for faulty valves, hoses, and nozzles. Keep accurate records of all test results, maintenance activities, and retesting schedules while managing inventory of equipment and supplies. Remain available for emergency calls to recharge or repair units during critical situations and ensure all work adheres to local, state, and national fire safety codes.
Required Qualifications
- Have or willing to obtain NV State Fire Marshal Certificate of Registration (E card)
- Strong knowledge of fire safety codes, regulations, and industry standards related to fire extinguishers
- Ability to travel to various locations
- Capable of starting early (6:00 a.m.)
- Insurability to drive with a clean Motor Vehicle Report
- Pass pre-placement physical and drug test
