Job Summary
The Fire Extinguisher Technician will inspect, sell, and service fire suppression components, including fire extinguishers and emergency lights. Responsibilities include managing time to complete service calls, achieving productivity goals set by the Branch Manager, learning relevant fire protection codes, and maintaining safety protocols. The position requires fire extinguisher/suppression experience, the ability to learn inspection codes, a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and strong customer service skills.
Required Qualifications
- Fire Extinguisher/Suppression experience is required
- The ability to learn applicable inspection and servicing codes
- The ability to learn and comprehend general electrical safety procedures
- A valid driver’s license and a current and sustainable good driving record
- A strong work ethic and professional appearance
- Excellent selling, communications, and customer service skills
- Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required
- MVR checks are required for all driving positions
Desired Qualifications
- Applicable experience either in the fire protection industry or the commercial customer service business in some capacity
- An electrical background or a basic level of comfort and knowledge with electrical work
- An ability to provide services across multiple product lines
