Job Summary
Install FM Approved and/or UL-listed fire stop systems to restore the integrity of fire-rated floor and wall assemblies after service penetrations or construction joints. Read tape measures, use hand tools, and work on scaffolding, ladders, and powered lifts to perform tasks at heights and above shoulder level. Lift and carry 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally while maintaining close visual detail. Requires reliable transportation for regular travel throughout West Michigan, with Michigan-wide travel compensation available. High School diploma or GED required; basic math skills and manual dexterity essential. Eligible to work in the US.
Required Qualifications
- Must have reliable transportation
- High School diploma or GED
- Must be able to accurately read a tape measure and use hand tools
- General familiarity with construction tools and materials
- Ability to perform basic math
- Eligible to work in the US
- Lift and carry 25 pounds regularly, 50 pounds or more occasionally
- Must be able to see details at close range
- Will work for prolonged periods standing in a variety of conditions
- Must have good manual dexterity, good sense of balance, good hand-eye coordination
- Must be able to perform work on scaffolding and / or ladders
- Must be able to work at heights in powered lifts
- Must be able to work at or above shoulder height for extended periods of time
Desired Qualifications
- Direct experience with Firestop process and product application preferred
- Ability to work throughout Michigan a plus (compensation for travel provided)
