Job Summary
Accurately weigh samples and add flux reagents; operate high-temperature furnaces (900–1100 °C) to fuse mixtures and extract metals such as gold; dose and flux samples for fusion; fuse and cupel gold samples for analysis; perform quality control procedures and routine equipment maintenance; join a development-focused team on an entry-level path with full training to progress in Fire Assaying; this is a residential role in Orange, NSW, Australia with a late-afternoon shift and strict adherence to safety and lead hygiene protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Current Australian work rights
- Ability to reside or relocate to Orange NSW
- Ability to work an afternoon shift 1:30 pm–9:30 pm
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle high-temperature processes
- Willingness to learn and develop into a fully proficient Fire Assayer
