Fire Assay Technician

Job Summary
Conduct fire assay procedures safely, including weighing, fluxing, pouring, de-slagging, cupellation, and prilling. Perform wet chemistry digestions of prills and scorification. Support the Area Supervisor and Team leaders with sample preparation processes. Follow procedures to complete test work to a high safety standard while maintaining accurate record keeping for control samples. Work up to 75 hours a fortnight in day, afternoon, or occasional night shifts at the Balcatta laboratory, with a view to permanent employment after a period of service. Training is provided for successful applicants with no prior experience.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to undertake Shift work as required
- Good physical fitness with the ability to perform manual handling tasks
- Good literacy, numeracy, and computer skills
- Valid working visa or eligibility to work in the country of application

- Previous experience in similar laboratory or mine site roles
