Job Summary
Design end-to-end fire detection, suppression, and kitchen ventilation systems for Hungry Lion stores; ensure compliance with SANS and local fire regulations; prepare and issue CoCs (Certificates of Conformity) for gas, fire, and ventilation installations; coordinate with architects, draughtspersons, and authorities; manage budgets and timelines for fire-safety capital projects from tender to commissioning.
Required Qualifications
- BEng, BSc (Eng), or BTech in Mechanical Engineering
- Active registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer or Technologist (Pr Eng/Pr Tech Eng)
- 5+ years of experience in fire protection design and industrial ventilation
- Proficiency in CAD or Revit for reviewing and creating infrastructure layouts
- Expert-level understanding of the National Building Regulations and Building Standards Act
