Job Summary
Fire Alarm Technician in Tampa responsible for leading and supervising the installation and service of fire alarm systems in commercial and multi-family settings. Responsibilities include overseeing installation work, wiring and panel layout, interpreting blueprints and installation instructions, completing work orders, performing maintenance and replacement of system components, communicating issues to management, addressing performance concerns, coordinating with general contractors, and ensuring safety and compliance with codes and company standards. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., work under supervision of the superintendent/manager, and contribute to on-site reports and documentation. Preferred NICET certification and OSHA 30-hour; requires strong organizational, communication, and leadership abilities, and a valid driver’s license. Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of knowledge and hands-on experience in installing fire alarm systems
- reading blueprints
- conducting system testing
- Proficient in using computer software
- Strong leadership abilities and experience supervising apprentices
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test, background check, and 10-year employment verification
