Job Summary

Fire Alarm Technician Trainee tests, repairs, and inspects fire detection and signaling systems for internal and external customers. The role supports senior technicians with learning the trade with the goal of becoming a NICET II certified Fire Alarm Technician within two years. Responsibilities include assisting in testing, maintenance, and inspection of fire alarm systems, preparing and moving materials, operating hand tools and gauges, and ensuring work performed aligns with manufacturer instructions, codes, standards, and company policies. The position emphasizes safety, reliability, timely service, and the potential for overtime. The company offers relocation assistance, an apprenticeship path, tuition/boot reimbursements, and comprehensive benefits; candidate must be able to communicate in English, hold a valid driver’s license, lift 100 pounds, work at heights and in extreme temperatures, and travel as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Fluent in English (read, write, speak)
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Able to lift up to 100 pounds
  • Able to work at heights above 10 feet
  • Able to work in confined spaces
  • Able to travel and stay out of town as needed
