Fire Alarm Technician (Siemens Fire Alarm Experienced )

Job Summary

Interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics to install, pull, terminate, test, and troubleshoot cables and vendor products. Configure, program, and commission new life safety systems while documenting commissioning details and communicating project progress. Respond to service calls for fire alarm systems, ERCES/BDA, card access, CCTV, intrusion, and nurse call systems. Identify cost-saving strategies to maximize productivity and ensure adherence to NFPA, Local AHJ codes, and OSHA safety standards. Maintain monitoring accounts for fire and security systems and climb ladders or work in confined spaces as needed. This full-time role in Orlando, FL requires Siemens Fire Alarm experience, FASA/BASA certification, and a Florida State JLA Badge. Candidates must work any shift, including nights and weekends, and possess a valid driver's license.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • FASA/BASA Certification
  • Ability to obtain a Florida State JLA (Jessica Lunsford Act) Badge
  • Siemens Fire Alarm Experienced
  • Minimum of 5 years of Fire Alarm System experience, including programming and configuration of Siemens systems
  • Proficiency with NFPA 72, Life Safety Code 101, and IBC
  • Ability to climb ladders and scaffolds as needed
  • Valid driver's license
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to operate company vehicles safely and responsibly
  • Adherence to traffic laws and company policies governing the use of motor vehicles
  • US government security clearance (if extended an offer)
  • Relinquishment of foreign citizenship if dual citizen for security clearance
  • Professional behavior that promotes teamwork, fosters cooperation and enhances productivity
  • Well organized with the ability to coordinate, prioritize, and execute multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to work effectively with various external customers including government, military, and contractor personnel
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the company
  • Business casual grooming and dress (for office environments)
  • Grooming and dress that does not pose a safety hazard (for field environments)
  • Adherence to OSHA Standards
  • Regular attendance following an established work schedule
  • Ability to work any shift/designated hours required
  • Ability to continue performance during inclement weather or other conditions when others are not permitted to work
  • Ability to work night and weekend work
  • Ability to travel to areas with varying field conditions
  • Capability to sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch for extended durations
  • Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Must possess the capability to sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch for extended durations
  • Must be able to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to operate in noisy environments with temperatures higher or lower than standard office conditions
  • Must be able to climb ladders, working at heights and in small, confined spaces such as under raised floors, inside closets, and server racks
  • Employment is contingent upon obtaining and maintaining required certifications or licenses through the duration of the project or contract
  • Must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily
