Job Summary
Install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain fire alarm, burglar alarm, CCTV/video surveillance, and low-voltage systems by performing testing, programming, commissioning, and repairs. Read system drawings and wiring diagrams to diagnose issues, execute equipment installations, wiring, terminations, and device replacements, while maintaining accurate service reports. Travel to customer sites throughout Michigan and surrounding areas as required, adhering to all safety procedures, project specifications, and applicable codes. This contract-to-hire role offers competitive hourly compensation with potential for long-term employment, immediate start, and opportunities for permanent status.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with fire/security or low-voltage systems
- Experience with Fire Alarm Systems
- Experience with Burglar/Intrusion Alarm Systems
- Experience with CCTV/Video Surveillance
- Experience with Access Control
- Experience with Low-Voltage Systems
- Strong troubleshooting and technical skills
- Ability to work independently in the field
- Willingness and ability to travel
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills
Desired Qualifications
- Fire alarm certifications such as NICET
- Manufacturer-specific certifications
- Experience with commercial or industrial security systems
- Knowledge of applicable fire and low-voltage codes
