Job Summary
Install, troubleshoot, and repair cabling, equipment, and control panels for fire alarm, access control, intrusion, and IP video systems across commercial sites. Run low voltage cabling including drilling and conduit work, mount sensors in crawlspaces and at heights, and test installations for code compliance. Read blueprints to guide installation and coordinate schedules with team leads. Provide on-site and remote technical support while adhering to all safety and electrical codes. Valid state Physical Security or Life Safety license required; NICET certification valued. $20 to $45 per hour with company vehicle provided after orientation. Choose between travel-heavy project work or steady service roles based on preference.
Required Qualifications
- Valid state Physical Security and/or Life Safety license in the applicable technology
- Working knowledge of NFPA 70 and NFPA 72
- Comfortable working at heights of 20 to 60 feet on lifts
- Valid driver's license with a clean record, no DUI/DWI in the last 3 years
- Reliable personal transportation during initial training period
- Strong communication skills for customer-facing work

- Experience with multiple intrusion or access control system manufacturers
