Job Summary
Fire Alarm Technician responsible for installing, programming, startup/check-out, certifying, and training customers on commercial fire-alarm systems across assigned buildings. Performs testing, inspection, and service, ensures proper documentation and deficiency repair recommendations, maintains structured inspection schedules, and provides instruction to customer personnel on system operation and routine inspections. Requires traveling to job sites, adhering to safety procedures, and supporting less experienced coworkers while maintaining customer satisfaction. Strong focus on mechanical/electrical aptitude, problem-solving, and effective communication with building owners/engineers.
Required Qualifications
- High School/GED or equivalent experience
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel locally to jobsites
- Willingness to learn technical skills related to fire alarm systems
- Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude
