Job Summary
Service and repair specified electronic life safety systems and peripheral devices, including alarm panels, sirens, horns, and strobes. Test and verify all components function properly per manufacturer specifications using a multimeter for circuit analysis. Program or reprogram systems via software and tools while maintaining compliance with company policies and documentation standards. Keep company vehicles in good operating order and complete daily paperwork submissions. Maintain a positive work atmosphere with internal and external customers. On-call as required; may oversee other technicians as assigned. Valid driver's license and NICET Level II certification within two years of employment required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Degree in Electronics (or 1-3 year's related experience/training preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must meet all proficiencies of a NICET Level II Technician
- Must have NICET II Certification within 2 years of employment
- Must be able to obtain specified license/certifications to perform work in the security industry according to the rules and regulations prescribed by the State in which the branch operates
- Valid driver's license
- Must have ability to service Notifier, Simplex, EST or similar fire alarm systems
- Must have ability to service Video Surveillance/CCTV Card Access, and Nurse Call Systems
- On-call as required
- May oversee other technicians as required
