Fire Alarm Technician

Job Summary
Program, start-up, troubleshoot, and commission new fire alarm, access control, CCTV, nurse call, and intercom systems. Perform point-to-point troubleshooting, review design documents for accuracy, and conduct inspections to ensure code compliance. Clearly communicate project status and challenges to the project lead and client while completing detailed project reports. Respond to emergency service calls and assist with installation projects under direction. Maintain strong written and oral communication skills for internal and external clients. Shift times vary based on assignments; rotating on-call schedules may be required. Regular in-person attendance and on-site availability during business hours and as needed are mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience with Fire Alarms
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License
- Knowledge of low voltage systems, including but not limited to Fire Alarms, Access Control Systems, CCTV, and Intercom systems
- Possess both technical and computer skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to use lifts for work that exceeds ladder limitations
- Ability to regularly carry tools and multi-meter usage
- Must be comfortable reporting to a Project Manager
- Ability to travel with a crew and ride a company provided vehicle
- Regularly carry and climb an 8' or taller ladder
