Job Summary
Troubleshoot, repair, and inspect fire alarm systems while maintaining a clean, safe work environment and adhering to all company safety policies. Complete all necessary paperwork for service and inspections, communicate professionally with customers, and follow verbal and written instructions accurately with clear documentation. Possess and maintain basic hand tools, demonstrate familiarity with trade tools, and read blueprints. This role requires a valid driver's license, an acceptable motor vehicle record, and the ability to adjust work hours or shifts as needed for operational demands. Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, at least three years of experience in fire alarm installation, service, testing, and troubleshooting, and working knowledge of NFPA 72, NFPA 70, and current industry standards. Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Apple iOS, and Google Android is required. Physical activities include reaching, bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting up to 75 lbs in varying climates, construction, or low-voltage environments where PPE may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in installation, service, testing, and/or troubleshooting of fire alarm systems
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Acceptable motor vehicle record
- Ability to read blueprints
- Proficiency in the use of computers and smart phones, specifically Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Apple iOS, and Google Android
- Working knowledge of NFPA 72, NFPA 70, and current industry standards
- Ability to adjust work hours or shifts as needed for operational demands
