Job Summary
Fire Alarm Technician tests, repairs, and inspects fire detection systems across assignments in VA/NC/SC/GA/AL/TN/TX with an emphasis on installation, programming, repair, testing, and inspections per manufacturer instructions and applicable codes. Responsibilities include scheduling inspections, documenting results for records and authorities having jurisdiction, communicating discrepancies and necessary repairs to customers, following up on required repairs, marketing EFI services, and training Technician Trainees. The role requires ongoing certification maintenance, adherence to company standards, and potential overtime; relocation assistance and growth opportunities are provided.
Required Qualifications
- Education, experience, and certification as specified in the job description (or equivalent combination)
- Has practical knowledge of fire protection codes and standards
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds, 75 pounds or more with assistance or assistive equipment when needed, can work from heights above 10 feet, and work in confined areas
