Job Summary

The Fire Alarm Technician tests, repairs, and inspects fire detection and signaling systems, performing installation, programming, testing, and scheduled inspections. Roles include documenting inspections for company and authorities having jurisdiction, communicating discrepancies and required repairs to customers, following manufacturer instructions and codes, scheduling inspections, and promoting EFI services. Responsibilities also cover training Technician Trainees, overtime readiness, maintaining current certifications/licenses, and adhering to company standards. The position includes relocation assistance and opportunities for apprenticeship, tuition reimbursement, and other benefits.

Required Qualifications

  • EST 3 OR 4 Certified
  • Education, experience, and certification as specified in the job description (or equivalent combination)
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds, work at heights over 10 feet, and navigate confined spaces
  • Knowledge of fire protection codes and standards
  • Excellent customer service skills
