Job Summary
Install, maintain, and repair commercial fire alarm systems according to safety standards and local building codes. Travel regionally between client sites in the Columbus, Dayton, and Lima areas to execute field service and installation tasks. Utilize power tools effectively and safely to perform installation tasks with precision. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand system layouts and specifications. Provide field service support, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues as they arise during installations or maintenance visits. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while maintaining high-quality standards. Accommodate occasional overnight travel within the state of Ohio. Complete initial and ongoing training at the facility in Lima, Ohio. Compensation ranges from $24 to $40 per hour based on experience and certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial installation or maintenance roles, preferably related to fire alarm systems or general electrical fields
- Willingness to complete initial and ongoing training at the facility in Lima, Ohio
- Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record for the operation of the provided company vehicle
- Electrical knowledge is essential for troubleshooting and repairing electrical components of systems
- Ability to read schematics accurately to guide installation processes effectively
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering quality service in the field
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members
- Accommodate occasional overnight travel within the state of Ohio (advanced notice will be provided)
Desired Qualifications
- NICET Certifications (particularly Level III or IV) are highly desired for experienced candidates
