Fire Alarm System Mechanic III

Test and inspect building water-based fire protection systems, including deluge, low-expansion foam, pre-action, dry, water mist, and water spray systems. Perform scheduled maintenance by adjusting, repairing, or replacing leaky joints, pipes, valves, compressors, nitrogen generators, and vacuum air systems. Operate, test, and repair electric and engine-driven fire pumps while applying NFPA and UFC/M code requirements. Investigate obstructions and impairments, clean and maintain required tools, and operate support equipment such as self-propelled boom lifts. Test, certify, and repair backflow assemblies if licensed, and maintain preventive maintenance and repair records. Read drawings, work plans, and maps to ensure installations meet manufacturer specifications and environmental protection requirements. Complete work orders, inspection reports, and documentation accurately. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members while complying with company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and Navy installation regulations.
