Job Summary
Senior Fire Alarm & Suppression Technician responsible for installation, inspection, testing, and service of fire alarm and engineered/pre-engineered suppression systems per NFPA codes and standards. Includes programming, testing, final inspections, as-built drawings, and customer training; troubleshooting and repair of systems; documentation of inspections and repairs; maintaining customer relationships and equipment; travel and overtime as needed; and adherence to safety programs. Requires NICET III Certification and state license, with extensive field leadership and project-management experience. May involve varied work environments, lifting, travel to customer sites, and use of PPE.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of fire detection and signaling systems experience including installation, maintenance, inspection, testing, commissioning, and related activities
- At least 33 months of fire alarm systems experience including installation, maintenance, inspection, testing, commissioning, technical system estimating and sales, plan preparation, code compliance review, project management, and/or technical business management
- Three additional years from Level II must include field experience, team leadership, and at least one year in a fire alarm systems technical management role
- NICET III Certification in Fire Alarm Systems
- State license in the relevant state
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
