Fire Alarm & Suppression Technician Level II

Job Summary
Perform installation, inspection, testing, service, and repair of fire alarm and suppression systems in accordance with NFPA codes, manufacturer requirements, and applicable ordinances. Program systems, create as-built drawings, conduct customer training, and troubleshoot emergency issues on-site or remotely. Document all discrepancies and maintain customer relationships while ensuring compliance with safety programs. Evaluate sites for additional equipment needs and work in varying environments including heights and confined spaces. This Level II role requires a valid driver's license, 2+ years of fire detection experience, and NICET II certification. Overtime and weekend work may be required.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of fire detection and signaling systems experience
- At least 12 months of fire alarm systems experience, including alarm and detection, notification, sprinkler monitoring, and interfaces and controls for agent releasing suppression systems (either agent or water-based systems)
- Must possess the ability to calculate basic math including fractions, decimals and percentages
- Must possess the knowledge and ability to understand and operate basic computer functions, operating systems and software applications such as Windows, Word, Apple IOS, Android and Outlook
- Knowledge and understanding of low voltage and wiring
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams
- Must currently have a valid U.S. driver's license
- Must be able to successfully lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to work in confined spaces
- Must be comfortable with heights, working on ladders or lifts
- Must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S.
Desired Qualifications
- 2 to 5 years of experience with fire alarm and suppression systems
- NICET II Certification in Fire Alarm Systems
- State license in the relevant state in which you're applying
- Experience with electrical wiring and circuitry
