Job Summary
Conduct installation, inspection, testing, programming, and repair of fire alarm and suppression systems in compliance with NFPA codes, manufacturer requirements, and local ordinances. Perform troubleshooting, final inspections, as-built drawing creation, and customer training while documenting all discrepancies electronically or manually. Maintain vehicles and tools, evaluate sites for additional service needs, and communicate deficiencies to customers. Perform on-site and remote emergency troubleshooting, including work on nights, weekends, and holidays, while adhering to safety protocols and driving requirements.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 6 months of technical experience with fire detection and signaling systems
- NICET 1 Certification in Fire Alarm Systems
- Must possess the ability to calculate basic math including fractions, decimals and percentages
- Must possess the knowledge and ability to understand and operate basic computer functions, operating systems and software applications such as Windows, Word, Apple IOS, Android and Outlook
- Knowledge and understanding of low voltage and wiring
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams
- Must currently have a valid U.S. driver's license
- Must be able to successfully lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to successfully lift and carry toolboxes, equipment, parts, tools, equipment, cabling, and/or wiring

- Driving
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for this position in accordance with safety standards

Desired Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of experience with fire detection and signaling systems
- Experience with electrical wiring and circuitry
- State license where relevant in the state in which you are applying
