Job Summary
Lead field execution of fire alarm system installations on a large-scale plant upgrade project; supervise crews installing conduit, wiring, devices, panels, and networked systems in an active industrial environment; coordinate with Project Managers, General Contractors, and other trades to maintain schedule and jobsite flow; review drawings, submittals, and layouts to ensure compliance with NFPA 72, NEC, and AHJ requirements; manage manpower planning, material coordination, and jobsite logistics across multiple phases; support system programming, testing, and final commissioning in coordination with inspectors and AHJs; maintain strong on-site leadership focusing on safety, quality, and accountability; assist in mentoring and developing field technicians and junior leaders.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in fire alarm installation on commercial or industrial projects
- Current Colorado Journeyman Electrician License
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 72, NEC, and fire alarm system installation practices
- Exposure to system programming, testing, and commissioning
- NICET certification (Fire Alarm Systems) is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, riser diagrams, and submittals
- Experience working in industrial or plant environments is a strong plus
- Strong communication and coordination skills across field teams and stakeholders
