Job Summary
Fire Alarm Service Technician responsible for independently performing maintenance and service of fire alarm systems, diagnosing and troubleshooting system issues, completing standard service calls without direct supervision, interpreting system drawings, specifications, and manuals, using hand tools and testing equipment, ensuring compliance with codes and company policies, documenting service reports, communicating with customers and teammates, identifying deficiencies and recommending corrective actions, maintaining a safe work environment, providing guidance to entry-level technicians, and traveling to job sites to work in commercial, industrial, and construction settings.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as a technician
- NICET Level I or above preferred
- Strong understanding of fire alarm systems, components, and troubleshooting methods
- Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Clean driving record and active driver’s license (if driving role)
