Job Summary
Independent Fire Alarm Service Technician role performing maintenance and service of fire alarm systems across commercial, industrial, and construction environments. Responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting system issues, completing standard service calls without direct supervision, interpreting system drawings and specifications, using hand tools and testing equipment, ensuring compliance with codes and company policies, and accurately completing service reports and inspection records. Provides guidance and support to entry-level technicians as needed, communicates effectively with customers and team members, and travels to job sites. Requires 3+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry, NICET Level I or above preferred, and a clean driving record with active license. Travel and physical work (lifting up to 50+ pounds) are anticipated.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as a technician
- Strong understanding of fire alarm systems, components, and troubleshooting methods
- Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license
