Job Summary
Fire Alarm/Intrusion/Access Control Service Technician needed to install, troubleshoot, and repair cabling systems and equipment in IP Video, Access Control, Intrusion Alarm, LAN/WAN, and wireless LAN for commercial/industrial clients; perform low voltage wiring, install/repair/upgrade fire alarm systems, and test systems for operational status and regulatory compliance; read and interpret blueprints/site maps; collaborate with Installation Team Lead/Project Manager to support on-site schedules; travel up to 20–30% and attend a mandatory one-week in-person technician orientation in Lowell, AR; requires Louisiana LSPP Life Safety/fire alarm license and knowledge of NFPA standards (NFPA 70/72); NICET certification preferred; basic computer skills and safe operation of tools; valid driver’s license with clean record; willingness to work day shifts (8 am–5 pm) with some nights and required safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Louisiana Life Safety and Property Protection (LSPP) license issued by the Louisiana State Fire Marshal's Office for Fire Alarm (Life Safety)
- Field installation experience in security environments: Fire Alarm /Intrusion / Access Control
- Current/valid state required Physical Security license and/or Life Safety license in the applicable technology
- Knowledgeable about NFPA standards, including NFPA 70 and 72
- Experience reading blueprints and site maps
- Experience with multiple Intrusion/Access system manufacturers is a plus
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; no DUI or DWI in the last three years
- Willingness to travel moderately (up to 20–30%) and work flexible shifts, including overnights
- Must have reliable personal transportation for use during the initial training period; must be willing to attend a mandatory one-week, in-person technician orientation in Lowell, Arkansas upon hire; orientation is scheduled shortly after hire based on the next available session, and a company vehicle will be provided upon completion of orientation
