Job Summary
Install, program, test, repair, and service fire alarm, security, and building automation systems while performing system start-ups, commissioning, and customer training. Interpret schematics and wiring diagrams to execute installation procedures unassisted, utilizing standard test instruments and hand tools to resolve equipment malfunctions. Consult with engineering personnel to address unusual system problems and work with designers to ensure compliance with codes and standards. Coordinate project timelines and budgets, manage close-out documentation, and mentor less experienced technicians. Maintain a valid low voltage electrical license and driver's license, with the ability to travel locally to jobsites.

- Understanding of electronics to include Ohm's law, resistor color code, and relay logic for control of third-party equipment
- Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Experience programming, troubleshooting, and commissioning Edwards or equivalent fire alarm systems of small to medium size
- Willingness to achieve necessary certifications/licensing related to products, industry, and city/state
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Possession of a low voltage electrical license as required by local/state
- Ability to travel locally to jobsites on a regular basis
- High School/GED or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years relevant experience
- WA06 Electrical License
Desired Qualifications
- Willingness to learn technical skills and/or experience related to fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security
- NICET Certification
- EST Certification
- Associate degree in Electronics or related field including equivalent military experience
