Job Summary
As a Fire Alarm Project Technician 2, you will install, program, test, and service various fire alarm systems while ensuring compliance with codes and standards. Key responsibilities include performing system start-up, commissioning, and customer training, as well as collaborating with project managers and fire alarm designers. You will be required to interpret manuals and schematics, maintain exceptional customer focus, and mentor less experienced colleagues. A strong understanding of electronics, solid mechanical and electrical aptitude, and certification/licensing in fire alarm systems are essential for this role. Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Possess NICET Level II in Fire Alarm
- Possess low voltage electrical license as required by local/state
Desired Qualifications
- Experience programming, troubleshooting, and commissioning Edwards or equivalent fire alarm systems of small to medium scale
- Associate degree in Electronics or related field including equivalent military experience
- EST3 & 4 Certification
Additional Requirements
- Ability to travel locally to jobsites on a regular basis. Minimal overnight travel may be required.
