Job Summary

Install, program, test, repair, and service fire alarm, security, and building automation systems while performing system start-ups, commissioning, and customer training. Interpret schematics and wiring diagrams to execute installation procedures, troubleshoot malfunctions using standard test instruments, and ensure compliance with building and fire codes. Coach less experienced colleagues, consult engineering personnel on unusual system problems, and manage project risks to control deviations from timelines and budgets. Coordinate with project managers to improve work quality and customer satisfaction, maintaining a valid driver's license and local/state electrical license.

Required Qualifications

High School/GED or equivalent experience
3+ years' experience programming enterprise-level fire alarm systems
Local/State Electrical License
NICET Level I – Fire Alarm Systems
Willingness to operate aerial lift around 20 feet
Capability of obtaining a basic security clearance
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Possess NICET Level II in Fire Alarm Systems
Possess low voltage electrical license as required by local/state authority
Ability to travel locally to jobsites on a regular basis
