Job Summary
Experienced Fire Alarm/Low Voltage Installer needed to perform installation and checkout on fire alarm, voice/data, and security systems, including commercial & industrial 3-phase electrical power installations. Responsibilities include installing conduit, wiring devices, troubleshooting circuit issues, maintaining as-built drawings and on-site paperwork, and complying with industry standards and Sciens safety programs. Requires ability to read blueprints/diagrams, terminate field devices, travel occasionally, and lift up to 25–50 pounds. Strong communication skills and ability to work independently with some supervision are needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 to 3 years’ experience as a Fire Alarm/LV Installer
- Solid working knowledge of commercial electrical systems
- Able to read blueprints, technical drawings, and diagrams and follow specifications
- Experience in termination of field devices
- State and locally required minimum certifications
- Intermediate knowledge of NFPA 70 and NFPA 72 installation requirements
- Ability to travel occasionally overnight, as needed
- Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation
