Job Summary
Fire Alarm Installer needed to install, program, troubleshoot, configure, commission, and service Fire Alarm Systems at customer sites, with primary focus on networked fire alarm systems. Responsibilities include installing/programming fire alarm systems, reading blueprints/diagrams/submittals/specifications/software manuals, supervising and inspecting installation to meet specifications, completing necessary certification courses, and timely documentation of tasks. Requires 5+ years of experience, NICET II (or ability to obtain within first year), ability to read and interpret technical documents, hands-on use of testing equipment, and a HS diploma. Physical ability to lift 50-70 lbs, work from ladders/scaffolding, and travel as needed. Weekend availability and a valid driver’s license are required; ability to obtain/licenses per state/national codes. Preferred, an Associate’s Degree in Electronics, Network, Computer Science or related field. Salary range is $24-$34 hourly; benefits package applies.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of documented experience in Fire Alarm Systems
- Fire Alarm installation experience
- NICET level II or ability to obtain in the first year
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs
- Ability to work in conditions requiring climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet
- Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test
- Able to obtain and retain any licenses required by National, State, and Local codes
- Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements
- Strong customer service and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends
