Job Summary
Install fire life safety and low voltage systems in medium and large commercial buildings, executing project plans that include equipment delivery, troubleshooting, and commissioning. Resolve field problems by researching alternatives and coordinate activities with other trades to optimize installation time while exceeding customer expectations. Read blueprints, schematics, and operational manuals to interpret specifications, and communicate effectively with contractors, building owners, and management regarding project status and out-of-scope requests. Complete all required paperwork and assist customers on-site with questions and concerns. HCI Systems Inc. is a licensed low voltage systems integration contractor offering fire suppression, access control, and video management solutions. This role requires a valid driver's license, proficiency in MS Office, and the ability to perform physical labor including climbing ladders and lifting up to 75 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Applicants must meet requirements in relation to background and driving record
- Must be proficient in the use and application of industry related equipment including MS Office
- Must have excellent communications skills, using tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers
- Regular, reliable, predictable attendance
- Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing a ladder, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 60 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc
- Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools as required and lifting to 75lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Multiple years of experience in installation and troubleshooting is a plus
- Industry related NICET and/or State License is preferred, but not necessary to apply
