Fire Alarm Installation Technician

Job Summary
Install, inspect, service, and maintain fire alarm and life safety systems on new construction and renovation projects. Complete accurate documentation of inspections, maintenance, and repairs while ensuring compliance with all safety and industry regulations. Collaborate with team members and project managers on job site planning and execution, providing excellent customer service and communicating findings to clients. Read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues, staying current on NFPA codes and licensing requirements. Requires a Texas Fire Alarm License, three years of experience, and ability to lift 75 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Texas Fire Alarm (FAL) License (or willingness to obtain within an agreed upon time)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in fire protection system installation, inspection, and/or maintenance
- Programming Experience (EST Preferred)
- Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and local regulations
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass background checks for government projects
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Comfortable working with heights and confined spaces
