Job Summary
Independently install fire alarm systems in accordance with plans, specifications, and applicable codes. Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings, then perform system testing and basic troubleshooting using hand tools and equipment. Coordinate with team members, contractors, and project stakeholders as needed while maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Train and support entry-level technicians and apprentices as required. Maintain a clean and organized job site and travel to locations as needed. Requires a high school diploma, three years of experience in the fire and life safety industry, and NICET Level I or above. Pay ranges from $25 to $35 hourly.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician
- Demonstrated ability to work independently on standard installation jobs
- Strong understanding of fire alarm systems, installation practices, and applicable codes
- NICET Level I or above
- Clean driving record
- Active driver's license (if driving is required)
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods
- Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy
