Job Summary
Independently install fire alarm systems in accordance with plans, specifications, and applicable codes, interpreting blueprints and schematics to complete standard projects without direct supervision. Perform system testing, basic troubleshooting, and use hand tools and testing equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies. Coordinate with team members and contractors as needed while maintaining accurate documentation and a clean job site. Train and support entry-level technicians and apprentices as required. Travel to job sites across commercial, industrial, and construction environments to perform physical tasks including lifting 50+ pounds and working in varying conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician
- Demonstrated ability to work independently on standard installation jobs
- Strong understanding of fire alarm systems, installation practices, and applicable codes
- WA EL06 Low Voltage License
- NICET II/CFAT or Eligible to test for NICET II/CFAT
- Clean driving record
- Active driver's license (if driving is required)
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods
