Job Summary
Fire Alarm Inspector responsible for inspecting, testing, servicing and performing preventative maintenance on Simplex Fire Alarm Systems and similar products. Work involves low voltage wiring, documenting inspections via mobile devices or paper, adhering to safety policies, and operating in varied physical conditions including climbing ladders and lifting up to 70 lbs. Requires High School Diploma or equivalent, valid driver's license, strong communication, organizational skills, basic computer proficiency, and flexibility to work alternative shifts or weekends. Position is in Richmond, VA with on-site responsibilities and an hourly wage range of $20-$26.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License with good driving record
- Experience in testing and inspecting Fire Alarm Equipment
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic computer skills – Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
- Self-starter that can work with little or no supervision
- Ability to carry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 70lbs
- Ability to work in ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment
- Ability to work alternative shifts or weekends to meet customer needs
