Job Summary
Fire Alarm Inspection Technician responsible for testing fire, security, and sprinkler systems in the Baltimore region. Duties include testing electronic alarm systems (fire, security, access, sprinkler), generating documentation for system certification (work orders, deficiency reports, check-lists, certification reports), operating/maintaining company vehicle, coordinating with ARK team members to certify alarm systems, presenting a professional demeanor, communicating with customers about system operation and status, supervising Assistant Tester to ensure proper certification of sprinkler systems, performing minor repairs, and contributing to customer satisfaction; requires 3-5 years in fire protection, NICET II in water-based systems, valid driver’s license, and ability to obtain Maryland/Virginia security technician licenses (sponsored by ARK). Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience within the fire protection industry
- Familiar with various alarm systems, test equipment, communications equipment
- Valid driver’s license
- Able to obtain Maryland and Virginia security technician license as required, sponsored by ARK
- NICET II in water-based fire protection systems
