Job Summary
Interpret project specs and drawings to determine system layouts, then create Access Control and Fire Alarm submittal documents and record drawings using AutoCAD and MS Office. Review individual drawings to ensure completeness and accuracy, maintaining professional standards for neat, error-free work while adhering to company-drafting procedures. Coordinate the creation of necessary drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation, ensuring AHJ code compliance for all low voltage systems. Work with Sales, Project Managers, and Technical staff to support design engineers and maintain knowledge of current technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge and certifications in Drafting Design with an emphasis in 2D AutoCAD
- Minimum of 1 year experience in AutoCAD
- Ability to read blueprints and coordinate the creation of necessary drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation
- Proficient knowledge and certifications in the use of AutoCAD
- Must demonstrate computer literacy, including such programs as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and AutoCAD
- Valid and clean driver's license
- Must possess superior interpersonal skills and be a team player
- Must be able to work in conjunction with SSD Alarms Engineering Team, Sales & Operations to ensure AHJ code compliance for all low voltage systems
