Job Summary
The Fire Alarm Designer will utilize expertise in fire safety codes, engineering principles, and industry standards to design customized fire alarm systems tailored to clients' needs. Responsibilities include conducting site surveys, collaborating with architects and engineers, reading and interpreting blueprints, preparing shop drawings using AutoCAD, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Candidates should have at least 1 year of experience in fire alarm design, with a Fire Alarm License strong preference. A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and NICET Certification in Fire Alarm Systems are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience with fire alarm design
- Fire Alarm License strongly preferred
- Possess professional business communications skills, both written and oral
- Self-learner, self-motivated, dedicated, organized, and a team player
- Good communication and organization skills
Desired Qualifications
- NICET Certification in Fire Alarm Systems (Level II minimum preferred)
- Experience with Notifier, Siemens, Firelite, or Silent Knight fire alarm systems
- AutoCAD experience preferred
- Other drafting programs may be considered
