Job Summary
Finnish Linguist role supporting Language Support Services (LSS) for YSG/TU across current and future requirements. Responsibilities include interpretation (in-person and virtual), translation of written/electronic/audio/video materials, document review/editing, and foreign language instruction in classroom or virtual settings. Open, evergreen requisition across YSG and TU portfolios for multiple opportunities; candidates may be considered for a range of language support roles across various clients and projects.
Required Qualifications
- Must be qualified/certified at one of CAT I/II/III with ILR English proficiency requirements
- Ability to provide idiomatic translations and consecutive interpretation
- Experience providing foreign language instruction to adult students
- Ability to work in harsh environments and under high pressure
- U.S. citizenship or eligible status with appropriate security clearance requirements
- Familiarity with local culture and customs
- Ability to work as part of a professional team
- Security clearance considerations per CAT I/II/III regimes
- Fluency in English and target language with regionalisms
- Interpretation and translation of diverse content (written, audio, video)
