Job Summary
Debur, polish, grind, and finish metal items with rounded corners or grained finishes using handheld grinders and buffers. Remove burrs, sharp edges, and imperfections to meet surface finish requirements while reading blueprints or routers to determine specifications. Set up machines, stack, mark, pack, and transport finished work pieces to the next center. Perform minor machine maintenance and properly use the barcode system to reflect hours charged to jobs. Follow supervisor instructions and adhere to due dates on routers. Always wear a grinding shield and gloves. Contact the supervisor or weld lead if problems arise with the job or equipment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three months of related experience
- Employment with Key Technology is contingent upon successfully completing a pre-employment drug screen
- successfully completing a criminal history check
- successfully completing a social security check
- successfully completing a reference check
