Job Summary
Debur, polish, grind, and finish metal items requiring rounded corners or grained finishes using handheld grinders and buffers. Remove burrs, sharp edges, and imperfections to meet surface finish requirements while reading blueprints and router instructions. Set up machines, stack, mark, pack, and transport finished pieces to the next work center. Perform minor machine maintenance and operate equipment at production level under supervision. Wear grinding shields and gloves, use the barcode system to charge hours, and contact the Supervisor or Weld Lead for job or equipment problems. Prioritize safety at all times.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three months of related experience
- Employment with Key Technology is contingent upon successfully completing a pre-employment drug screen
- successfully completing a criminal history check
- successfully completing a social security check
- successfully completing a reference check
