The Finishing Perfect Binder Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining perfect binding equipment, ensuring jobs are completed accurately and efficiently. Key responsibilities include monitoring production quality, troubleshooting equipment issues, and performing routine maintenance while adhering to safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
- 1–3 years of experience operating a perfect binder or similar finishing equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of bindery operations and production workflows
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to read and interpret job tickets, layouts, and production instructions
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with additional finishing equipment (three-knife trimmer, stitcher, folder, or cutter)
- Knowledge of hot-melt and PUR glue systems
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance and continuous improvement practices
- Basic computer or production system data entry skills
