Job Summary
Conduct daily casting finishing by positioning castings on a work bench, visually inspecting parts, and manually guiding grinders or chipping hammers along specified guidelines. Verify specifications using production gauges and confirm casting types before shipment while performing general housekeeping in the work area. Operate jib cranes, air hammers, and grinders to meet required specifications. This role requires regular attendance, ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and tolerance for high or low temperatures and loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant. Shifts may include weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to operate jib crane, grinder, air hammer and gauge
- Knowledgeable of required specifications on castings
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Ability to function as a team member, establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Experience in similar or related job
- Must be able to work any shift
- Ability to Lift up to 75 pounds
