Job Summary
Finishing Manager responsible for overseeing the finishing department including cavity fabrication, enameling, silkscreen, and gluing; manages production scheduling, quality, and people management, and partners with assembly customers while applying lean manufacturing principles. Roles include driving safety improvements, reducing waste and downtime, leading continuous improvement initiatives, improving first-pass quality, boosting productivity, and managing environmental resources usage. Responsible for ISO 9000/14000 compliance, data management for projects, implementing engineering changes, coordinating with Production and Purchasing on material procurement, and ensuring effective inventory rotation. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field and at least 5 years of experience in finishing and tooling in a multi-shift manufacturing environment, with Six Sigma/lean experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Engineering or a related technical field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience overseeing finishing and tooling operations in a multi-shift manufacturing environment
- Experience working within a Six Sigma and/or other structured quality or lean manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated success in driving productivity improvements and implementing waste reduction initiatives
- Proven ability to achieve long-term business objectives and lead projects that drive organizational change across all levels of a manufacturing facility.
