Job Summary
Provide guidance to department employees in the Supervisor's absence and maintain organized work flow within the area. Supervise operations for highest quality and production with the proper number of employees, demonstrating commitment to safety policies and GMP guidelines. Read work orders to determine properly preformed products, maintain accurate production records, and communicate information to employees, shift supervisors, and next shifts. Ensure high levels of production by maximizing efficiency with planned assignments, maintaining a clean work area, and overseeing general preventive maintenance on equipment. Operate equipment as necessary to maintain productivity during operator absence and actively participate in lean manufacturing initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Safety sensitive position – ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business
- Ability to effectively work in teams
- Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles
