Job Summary
Operate finishing department machinery per job traveler/work instructions; obtain first piece approval; inspect products against drawings using calibrated measuring equipment; maintain accurate counts and record work/test/inspection status; record SPC data and enter job-specific information into the Sturges integrated computer system; keep a neat, clean work area; follow safety, HR, and quality policies and align with company goals; must read/write/communicate in English; sewing or manufacturing assembly experience and basic math/computer skills are preferred; strong teamwork required; safety-sensitive position.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED preferred
- Sewing experience in a manufacturing environment and/or production assembly experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Able to read a standard and metric tape measure
- Must have attention to detail
- Basic computer proficiency
- Basic math skills
- Strong team player
- This position is deemed a safety sensitive position always requiring alertness
- Able to read, write and fluently communicate in English
