Job Summary
Process work orders, locate product, and pack orders for shipment in accordance with the production schedule and customer specifications. Pick and package materials using various packing procedures, then place, arrange, mark, seal, and tag items on pallets and in containers. Consolidate items for shipment, assemble finished products into boxes, and count and sort product items while ensuring accurate shipping information is attached. Maintain area, worktables, equipment, and tooling in a neat, orderly condition. Perform related tasks such as placing labels on packages and handling boxes, run the die cutter as needed, and operate departmental equipment. Requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs, fine motor dexterity, and navigate the facility.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must have demonstrated mechanical ability and ability to use various assembly tools
- Requires basic arithmetic and skill to measure, count and weigh products and materials
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Must be self-motivated, reliable, and quality, safety oriented
- Requires use of proper body mechanics with pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting, squatting, kneeling, and bending
- Pushing/pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Requires fine motor hand and arm movement, manual dexterity, and coordination
- Requires near visual acuity
- Requires the ability to function in a professional manner under stressful circumstances
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of routine picking procedures, techniques, equipment, and basic warehouse procedures preferred
