Job Summary
Finish and/or assemble required quantity and quality of product by painting, metal finishing, or silk screening in a timely and efficient manner, and in accordance with plant and company specifications. Read and interpret work instructions, engineering criteria and/or prints; set up and operate powered and manual equipment to OHSA/Company safety standards; complete work orders and daily reporting; perform painting, metal finishing, and silk screening tasks in compliance with quality standards; maintain WHMIS labels; dispose of chemicals safely; rotate between paint booth, finishing, and assembly; report quality or process issues to supervision; support Lean and 5S practices for continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- High School or GED, or 2 - 5 years relevant manufacturing experience
- Minimum 1 year previous spray paint, silk screening experience required, or 1 year metal finishing experience
- Basic computer skills an asset
- Able to work from verbal and/or written instructions with minimal supervision
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Able to work in a fast-paced sheet metal environment
- Eye for detail
- Good dexterity and some lifting (up to 40 pounds)
- Must be clean shaven every day in order to wear respirator
